Hasan Ali is set for a return to county cricket by rejoining Warwickshire and Birmingham Bears.
The 29-year-old will be eligible to participate in the County Championship and T20 Blast until the end of July. He will link up with the club in late March after the conclusion of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine.
Additionally, there is an opportunity for the fast bowler to make a return in September for Finals Day and the latter part of the red ball season.
"I feel I'm playing in my second home and I'm very comfortable in the dressing room," said Hasan, who took 33 wickets across formats last summer. "I didn't feel like I'm playing in another country or another franchise.
"I can't wait to come back. Warwickshire is one of the best teams I've played with. The environment is good, we play brilliant cricket, and the boys are so talented."
Hasan is currently part of the Pakistan squad at the ongoing men's ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and has taken nine wickets in six appearances. Against New Zealand, he became the sixth-fastest Pakistani bowler to 100 ODI scalps in his 66th outing.
Head coach Mark Robinson added: "It's great news for the team and the wider club. Hasan brings a real energy to the place, the dressing room and on the pitch and inspires everyone around him with his enthusiasm.
"He is a quality performer, a proven wicket-taker and as we saw he pulled off some decent cameo roles with the bat last season as well."
